Toong Vo Thi Sau

Constructed within a vintage mansion that once housed civil officers working for the Vice President Palace, Toong Vo Thi Sau covers a total area of 1200 m2. The mansion has been transformed into a factory-style workspace and serviced offices, designed in a "hamburger" layout that converges at a versatile central space.

Preserving the historical white pillars at the entrance, the front porch is adorned with a line of green elephant grass, typically found in rural areas but now reimagined within an urban setting. The two adjacent buildings have been repurposed into distinctive office spaces with high ceilings and abundant natural light, while the rear building accommodates meeting rooms, a sleeping dorm, and an open pantry. The white-pebble backyard offers a unique vantage point to admire the juxtaposition of old and new architecture, blending a sense of tranquility with urban vibrancy.

At the heart of the workspace, an accentuated wall adorned with handmade effects inspired by red coral sets the stage for a space dedicated to specialty coffee and art. This area serves as a hub for social gatherings, lunch breaks, and a change of working environment. The design allows for natural light to filter through the diagonal roof, creating a unique spatial experience and fostering a connection with the passage of time in the bustling city.

In collaboration with Son Pacamara, Toong Vo Thi Sau offers one of the finest specialty coffee brands in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The specialty coffee bar is open to both members of Toong and the general public, enhancing the communal atmosphere of the workspace.
