The Office Group - Paddington

Part of a collaboration with Network Rail, this coworking space is located within Paddington Station itself. The primary entrance is situated on Eastbourne Terrace, with a secondary entrance accessible directly from Platform 1 (indicated by a blue line on the floor). Originally designed and constructed by Brunel in 1854, this Grade 1 Listed building had fallen into disrepair and neglect. Working alongside the acclaimed architects at DMFK, the space has been meticulously restored to its former glory, preserving intricate details such as mouldings, brick-vaulted ceilings, arches, and steel columns. The design emphasizes spaciousness and natural light, eschewing suspended ceilings and recessed lighting. Despite the challenges faced during the restoration process, including the integration of a modern air conditioning system, the effort was deemed worthwhile, even if it led to a few sleepless nights for the team. The coworking area offers a variety of offices, numerous meeting spaces, well-equipped kitchens, and of course, shared workspaces. Visitors are encouraged to explore the artwork throughout the space, including a playful nod to a certain Bear associated with the station in a humorous pose.
