Founded by Architect Brijesh Shaijal and Urban Planner Nimisha Hakkim, Design Ashram has collaborated with prestigious events like the Kerala Literature Festival 2019, showcasing a range of exhibitions and activities. The tranquil courtyard under the Peepal tree exudes a sense of peace and belonging, complemented by The Art Room and a library housing 220 donated books.

The concept of Design Ashram was born from the founder's passion for travel and cultural exploration, culminating in a space that celebrates design, art, and literature. Through workshops, events, and initiatives like “Mohabbathinte Kozhikkode” and The Book Swap, Design Ashram has fostered a vibrant creative community in Calicut.
