25 King Collective

Situated in the Melbourne CBD, 25 King Street occupies the former headquarters of the Melbourne Steamship Company. Within this historic building, Excelon Group (Level 2) operates, focusing on creating community-oriented, timeless, and environmentally sustainable residential projects. The Ground and First levels house the 25 King Collective, offering a variety of workspaces such as desks and studio suites of different sizes. Originally built in 1889, the building has been recently renovated by renowned Melbourne architects Kennedy Nolan, preserving many of its original features like the steamship company's glass signage, grand staircase, timber flooring, fireplaces, tall ceilings, and arched windows.

The coworking space includes a boardroom for 10 people, a meeting room for 6, and two informal breakout areas, all elegantly designed to impress and inspire guests and coworkers. Local craftsmanship is showcased in the fixtures and fittings, including lighting by Laal, leather strap handles by Made Measure, Herman Miller's Sayl task chairs, Gubi chairs, and custom plywood furniture by Power to Make. Additionally, Australian artist Benjamin Tankard was commissioned to create a series of 9 paintings depicting the steamships of the Melbourne Steamship Company, displayed in the meeting rooms and studio suites named after the ships.

Facilities include high-speed fiber internet, printing services, and two fully equipped pantries with refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, and Zip Hydrotaps. Parking arrangements can be made with a nearby commercial parking operator for both cars and bikes.
