This concept inspired the naming of 1871, drawing parallels to the transformative nature of the Great Chicago Fire of that year. Just as the fire reshaped the city's landscape, 1871 aimed to be a catalyst for Chicago's emergence as a prominent technology hub, not only in the United States but globally, with the center playing a central role in this vision.
